happy halloween

Here's what we've been up to this Halloween week....

Wearing Halloween shirts...

This might be my favorite applique I've made so far.

The face is made from lime green corduroy.

I knew the minute I saw that corduroy that it needed to be a Frankenstein applique :)

oh, those eyes. I'm going to be beating the girls away with sticks

Playing with pumpkins.....

I promise I did not pose him like this. He did it all on his own and I even had to run in the house to grab my camera....praying the whole time that he wouldn't move until I got back, of course :)

Making from-scratch chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting

The recipes are from my all time favorite baking book, Cake Love 

My mom bought me those little spider cupcake stands at Crate & Barrel. Aren't they so fun?!

 And dressing up like pirates...
